California Community Colleges: Visit home.cccapply.org to apply to any of the 113 California Community Colleges. Deadlines vary by college and term of admission (ex: Fall, Spring). Then, find out about important orientation, assessment, and counseling deadlines for your college of choice at stepforward.cccco.edu. New students need to complete these steps early on in order to receive priority registration!
Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): Submit your FAFSA as soon as possible after October 1st. The priority deadline is March 2nd for state grant aid. Missed the deadline? Get your FAFSA in as soon as possible but no later than June 30th of the academic year in which you plan to enroll. Learn more and apply: www.fafsa.ed.gov
California Dream Act Application (CADAA): Undocumented immigrant students should submit the California Dream Act Application instead of the FAFSA. Applications are available on October 1st and are due by March 2nd, with no exceptions. Cal Grants: Done with your FAFSA or Dream Act application? Don’t forget that Cal Grant GPA Verification Forms are due by March 2nd. California Community College students can apply by September 2nd if they missed the March 2nd deadline, but less funding is available. Learn more here: www.csac.ca.gov
Chafee Grant: Current and former foster youth may be eligible for an extra $5,000 to help with their college expenses. Apply for the Chafee Grant between October 1st and March 2nd.
