HOMELESS PREVENTION INITIATIVE
The Homeless Prevention Initiative Program provides move-in and rental assistance for former foster youth ages 18-24. The program also provides selected furniture items, appliances, and utility connection fees.
All youth are screened and interviewed to determine eligibility. Youth must locate their own housing and have sufficient income to maintain the housing.
Financial assistance is limited to a maximum of 3 months and is dependent upon funding availability.
Youth under age 21 must submit the application to their Transition Coordinator.
